PURSUE RIGHTEOUSNESS

The eyes of the Lord are everywhere keeping watch over on the bad and the good. The Lord is paying close attention to each of us. It is within our discretion to pay close attention to the instructions of the Lord.

He detests the religion of the wicked, but the prayer of the upright pleases Him. Pleasing God is a choice.

SIGNS OF A WISE PERSON

This chapter is also a group of sayings. It gives hints as to patterns of wise and godly behavior. If you are exhibiting wisdom, skillful living you are

Commending knowledge as opposed to wasting time.
Spreading knowledge. Teaching, mentoring, offering instruction.
Listening well. People are honored if you are listening.
Your words are bringing healing, restoring others.
Giving thoughtful responses, not taking just to be heard.

You are praying, that is dialoguing with God. He delights in the conversation.
You have a cool temperment. So to defend yourself.
Thinking, weighing thoughts carefully before speaking.

ENJOYING WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN

You have a happy heart. This sounds trite, but for any circumstance our reaction can be positive or selfish. The opposite of a leader is not a follower, it is a pessimist. People will follow people who are positive. They wish to move to a better state.

A negative attitude drives people away.

FRUIT OF YOUR LIFE IS JOY

Bringing joy to your family.
Taking delight in encouraging others and watching them succeed.
You are characterized by a attitude of humility.
You are not characterized by seeking honor, nor are you driven by ego.
